If you’re like me, you need chocolate every once in awhile. More often as life gets more and more complicated. However, most chocolate or chocolate flavored things in our world has sugar. Lots and lots of sugar and we all know that sugar is bad. So, what are we to do with our chocolate cravings? We can’t just let them go unattended because after a while one might just lose it over a chocolate bar.
So we find ways to make our delicious chocolaty things healthier. One way to do this is by replacing refined white sugar with honey. Don’t worry if your not a fan of honey, the cocoa powder full masks any hints of honey. All that you are left with is rich, creamy chocolate with just the right amount of sweetness.

What you need:
- 1 1/3 cup milk
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
What you need to do:
In a small saucepan bring milk, honey, cornstarch, salt and cocoa powder to a boil. Stirring continuously for 1 – 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla. Stir to incorporate.
Pour into heat-safe bowl or container and let cool.
Chill in fridge, and enjoy!!
